MoT residence has been honored with the 2016 Most Outstanding LEED for Homes Single Family Project award for the South Florida Region of the USGBC. MA+SD and our entire team are extremely thankful and delighted for this accolade, a wonderful recognition of our sustainable efforts on this home which is soon to celebrate two straight years of net positive electricity performance.

By producing more electricity than it uses over the past 12 months, MoT Residence has attained the coveted Net Positive status for electricity. With a surplus of 796 kWhs from November 1, 2014 to November 1, 2015, the home looks to far surpass that total by the end of December.

Thanks to CGI, MA+SD's MoT Residence has been honored by DWM Magazine as one of five winners in their national 2015 Green Awards for innovation in sustainability.

As part of the inaugural AIA Miami COTE awards, MoT, MA+SD's LEED Platinum design, was awarded Honorable Mention for the seamless integration of aesthetic, function, and performance.

MA+SD Principal Randall Moreland will join two other local architects in a discussion of the LEED for Homes process.

Please join us June 11, 2015 at MCAD. This promises to be a great event.

Sponsored in part by MA+SD, Principal Randall Moreland will be presenting with a select panel of sustainability experts regarding the Living Building Challenge (LBC) and how it may be applied in the climatic, economic, social, and political landscape of Miami. LBC is an extremely rigorous building sustainability rating system which far surpasses LEED. Where LEED proposes to do less harm, LBC pushes to do no harm and even aspires to be restorative. The event is presented by USGBC and AIA COTE, and promises to be a terrific round table discussion on a visionary topic. http://www.usgbcsf.org/event-803871
