This 3 story, 36,000 SE headquarters and branch bank for Vista Federal Credit Union was completed in 2003 at a cost of $4.6 million. Randall was involved with programming, and led the site design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation efforts through into permitting and construction administration.
With a branch bank and conference room on the first floor the upper two levels of offices extend over and serve as the canopy for the bank drive-through, making efficient use of the site layout. A combination of curtainwall and tilt-wall highlight this difference of use below. Though typically inflexible, the tilt-wall breaks at the corner to mark the main entrance. A fluid storefront and metal overhang on the ground floor further depart from the rigidity of the tilt-wall, allowing the concrete supports to become interior organizational and design elements.
